Data Science Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our team for a minimum of 4 months. The primary focus of this internship will be working on Nemo Models for Speech Synthesis. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in data science, including knowledge of Linux commands, proficiency in Python development, and a passion for working with cutting-edge technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of speech synthesis and contribute to real-world projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to fine-tune Nemo Models and create new voices for speech synthesis applications.
  • Utilize Linux commands and Python programming skills to implement and enhance the functionality of Nemo Models.
  • Conduct research and explore innovative approaches to optimize the performance and accuracy of the models.
  • Work closely with senior team members to identify and address technical challenges, and propose and implement effective solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
  • Document research findings, experiments, and methodologies to contribute to the knowledge base of the team.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in the final year of university or college, pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Linux commands and basic knowledge of shell scripting.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization libraries.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Nemo Models or prior experience in speech synthesis and speech recognition would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of PyTorch Lightning, PyTorch, and TensorFlow is a plus.

Location: WFH
Stipend: 12k to 18k depending on interview performance
During internship, you have to arrange your own laptop/ PC/ hardware
There is a possibility to convert this to full time employment after completion of internship.
